Definition
The Megazyme Mushroom and Yeast Beta-Glucan assay kit is an enzymatic method that quantifies beta-glucans separately from alpha-glucans in fungal and yeast samples. It is the industry standard for mushroom-supplement COAs and is sensitive enough to expose mycelium-on-grain products that would otherwise hide behind a 'total polysaccharides' number.
